The parent company of Okada Manila Casino, Universal Entertainment Corporation, is seeking to acquire the stalled Emerald Bay casino resort in Cebu. In the event that the purchase closes, Universal has committed to invest, and building will proceed. By July 2026, the company aims to have the project completed.
Dennis Uy, the chairman of PH Resorts, stated that the current project is in line with their plan to expand their presence in the Philippines following Okada Manila’s outstanding success.
