Betsson, an operator, has taken the spotlight as the new principal global sponsor for Atlético Nacional, Colombia’s highly successful football club. The new three-year deal marks a notable shift for the club, bringing about a revised logo on their jerseys after a 23-year run. Atlético Nacional expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting Betsson’s global presence and Latin American expansion, aligning with their aspirations to be a benchmark in international football. Together, they anticipate securing significant titles.

Founded in 1947, Atlético Nacional boasts a remarkable record with 33 titles, including two Libertadores Cups. Betsson intends to offer more than financial backing to Los Verdolagas (the Greenies), aiming to actively engage as a sponsor by introducing interactive features and surprises for the fans.

Jesper Svensson, the CEO of Betsson Operations, expressed appreciation, stating,“We are honoured to be the main sponsor of the legendary Rey de Copas (King of Cups), the biggest and most successful team in the history of Colombian football.”

He continued: “This partnership, occurring as Betsson just celebrated its 60th anniversary, further solidifies our position as a leading supporter of Latin American sports. Recognizing the immense passion stirred by Nacional, we are committed to providing fans with unforgettable moments, offering them a football experience like never before.”

The Betsson logo is set to adorn the jerseys of both the men’s and women’s Atlético Nacional teams starting with the 2024 Colombian football season. As the team gears up for the upcoming season, their primary goal remains securing multiple trophies across the scheduled tournaments throughout the year.
