Light & Wonder is poised to make a dynamic entry into the Québec market in 2024 to provide video lottery terminals (VLT) through a strategic agreement with Loto-Québec. As part of this collaboration, the provider will introduce the cutting-edge KASCADA™ DUAL SCREEN gaming machines, strategically placed throughout the province.
The market debut of the KASCADA™ DUAL SCREEN cabinet will showcase an impressive new game suite, featuring titles like Bonus Sevens Wild™, Monopoly Jackpot Station, Huff N’ Puff™, Life of Luxury™, 88 Fortunes™, Win 1000™, Bier Haus™, Rich Little Piggies™, Flush Frenzy™, and Jackpot Party™ Keno. This announcement follows recent news of IGT securing a contract to modernize Loto-Québec’s VLT network and Aristocrat gaining access to the Québec VLT gaming market.
Siobhan Lane, CEO of Light & Wonder, expressed keenness about the strategic agreement, stating, “Light & Wonder is honored to bring our proven content and hardware to players in the province of Quebec through this strategic agreement.”
Lane further noted: “This milestone not only signifies the expansion of our market footprint but also solidifies our standing as the leading cross-platform global games provider, demonstrating our commitment to elevating player experiences in every market.”
Stéphane Fraser, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Gaming Establishments at Loto-Québec, echoed the statement, commenting, “Loto-Québec is pleased to announce its partnership with Light & Wonder.”
Michael Marchetti was appointed to the Light & Wonder Board of Directors earlier this month. Prior to the appointment, he had served as the Director of SciPlay Corporation, which Light & Wonder acquired in October 2023. Nevertheless, Light & Wonder’s strategic partnership with Loto-Québec marks a significant milestone as the company prepares to venture into the vibrant Québec market in 2024.
